We are so excited to be a part of the Be a Santa to a Senior program this year with Home Instead Senior Care and Vancouver Parks and Recreation!
No one denies the benefits of getting out of the house and engaging in society, especially for seniors who may feel shut in. For 2017, seniors participating in Be a Santa to a Senior program have the opportunity to ask for an experience package. The package contains a $25 gift certificate to any 50 and Better programming through Vancouver Parks and Recreation and one year senior membership to the Parks Foundation of Clark County. Opportunities to be a Santa for a Senior begin November 22nd and go through December 8th.
Participating is simple and rewarding.
- Look for the purple trees at locations throughout Clark County beginning November 22nd.
- Select an ornament
- Purchase item(s) or the experience package on the wish list
- Return the ornament with the unwrapped gift(s) or experience in the designated collection area by December 8th.
- Home Instead Senior Care and other volunteers will wrap and deliver gifts to your senior.
50 and Better programming with Vancouver Parks & Recreation ranges from clubs to classes, activities, dances and the ever popular 50+ Forever Young Hiking Program.
