The Parks Foundation is one of four beneficiaries for this year’s Concerts for a Cause at Camas Meadows, and we can’t wait to see you there! Unlike prior years, this year is ticketed instead of donation at the gate. Proceeds for all seven concerts and sponsorships will be split among the beneficiaries, which also include the City of Camas Parks & Recreation, Friends of Hospice, and Santa’s Posse.
The main focus for Concerts for a Cause is connecting the community with our great charitable organizations through music. Since its inception, Concerts for a Cause has been showcasing some of the best bands in the local area and has gained popularity as an event that you don’t want to miss! The concerts are every Tuesday evening July 5 – August 16, 6:30-9pm.
This year’s fantastic line up is as follows:
July 5 – Stone In Love with Collective Nation
Travel on a “Journey” from Camas to Portland with these two great bands. Collective Nation hails from Camas and they will be supporting Stone In Love, a Portland-based Journey tribute band.
July 12 – Abbey Road LIVE!
Love the Beatles? Then you will love Abbey Road LIVE! They are not your typical Beatles tribute band, as they put their own contemporary Portland sound to Beatles’ masterpieces.
July 19 – 5 Guys Named Moe
This large ensemble of local musicians will titillate your musical palate with their renditions of 70s to contemporary music that will only leave you dancing.
July 26 – Flexor T
This award winning country band is the brain child of KGW Channel 8 Sports Commentator, Joe Becker, and Brian Pelky (5 Guys Named Moe). They are a little bit country and a little bit rock and roll as they have been known to rock it on stage!
August 2 – Ants in the Kitchen
Who doesn’t love a little 70s funk, blues and soul? That’s what you will get with this local seven-member ensemble.
August 9 – Petty Fever
You don’t want to miss this award winning Tom Petty tribute band that has been known to “do Tom Petty better than Tom Petty!”
August 16 – Patrick Lamb
